A tale of jumping to conclusions…
NB (19/12/2025):
This post was originally written 15/12/2025, prior to the developer responding to me. TLDR: they listed an extension on a wiki article before it was published by Google/Mozilla, I assumed it was taken down and hosted the Firefox one. If nothing else, I learned a bit more about how extensions are self-distributed :p.
Original post:
Now, I have no skin in this game, but whilst browsing the Duolingo Wiki, I noticed that the browser extensions page had recently been updated.
It had been updated with Duoblock Origin, a project I hadn't heard of before, but which had been pulled from both the Chrome WebStore and Mozilla's Add-On repo.
As such I've signed the extension for use on Firefox, and it's now being hosted on NET.libreDucks.duolingo with a (hopefully) working updates JSON file at https://duolingo.libreducks.net/duoblock/gecko-updates.json.
I don't believe there is any way to sign Chrome extensions for distribution elsewhere, so I wish the original dev luck with that one…
